ASSP Foundation Scholarship Applications Open!

Apply today for the 2020-2021 ASSP Foundation Academic Scholarship or Professional Development Grant. All applications are due December 1, 2020 (11:59 pm, Central Time)

Since 1990, the ASSP Foundation has awarded more than $3 million in scholarships and professional education grants to students beginning their studies in occupational safety and professionals seeking to continue their education. We offer nearly 150 awards each year ranging from $500 to $15,000 each. More than 1,300 safety students and professionals have advanced their careers, thanks to the generosity of the safety community.

2019-2020 Granite State Safety Professional of the Year (SPY) Award

The Granite State Chapter of ASSP would like to recognize Justin Deflumeri for winning the 2019-2020 Safety Professional of the Year Award.  The Safety Professional of the Year Award is awarded annually to a Granite State Chapter member who demonstrates outstanding achievement in the occupational safety and health field while also advancing the OSH profession overall.  Since graduating from Keene State College (KSC) in 2011, Justin has advised 7 different student groups from KSC with their senior project and given the students an opportunity to experience working in the safety field.  He has advanced the Granite State chapter of ASSP through his work on the Executive Board to attract new memberships from “front line” workers as a Chapter Delegate.  Additionally, he hosted the first ever joint chapter meeting between Boston and the Granite State ASSP chapters and presented How to Make Safety Fun For Your Employees.  Justin is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Keene State College.

Two Technical Meetings in January-Come Join Us!

There will be TWO technical meetings scheduled in January, both are free and will be available for remote viewing if so needed.  Those who cannot attend in person can request a Zoom meeting invite.

The first meeting will be on January 17th at 9:00AM in the NH  COSH meeting room in Hooksett, NH.  The topic will be “Kask safety and the future of head protection in the U.S” presented by Ceasar Ahumada of Sales Solutions Inc
